Product Introduction

A tube filling machine performs the filling and sealing stage of a topical product packaging line. Tubes are fed and oriented, often aligned to the eye mark for label registration, then filled by the selected dosing system, commonly piston-based for viscous ointments and creams. After filling, the tube end is folded or sealed according to the material: aluminum tubes are typically folded and crimped, while plastic and laminated tubes may be sealed by hot air or ultrasonic methods; batch or date coding can be applied during sealing. Machine selection should consider product viscosity, tube materials and sizes, sealing method, fill volume, required output, and changeover needs. For pharmaceutical projects, the machine may be evaluated together with cartoning and other downstream equipment so the complete line runs at a balanced output.
